Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.

The role administers medications, develops individualized care plans, and educates patients and families while supporting safety and quality improvement efforts. Schedule is 40 hours per week with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• Licensed RN in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops and executes a patient plan of care according to individualized needs; includes patient and family instruction.
• Provides patient and family education and supports system-entity opportunities for continuous learning.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Maintains patient safety by escalating issues through the proper chain of command.
