Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an RN for the Union Hospital Clinical Decision Unit in Elkton, MD. The RN will provide safe, effective nursing care across units, administering medications, and coordinating with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires Maryland RN licensure or a compact state, BLS, ACLS within 1 year, and NIH stroke certification within 90 days. Hours are 12 per week (day shift) with weekend/holiday requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Maryland RN license (or compact state).
• BLS required; ACLS within 1 year of start date.
• NIH Stroke certification within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with patients, families and physicians to plan care.
• Coordinate care to maintain a safe unit for patient safety.
