Job summary

MDL Group is seeking an experienced maintenance technician/handyman to complete routine work orders, diagnose issues, and perform repairs across property assets. You will work independently, manage drywall, painting, plumbing and general repairs, and document outcomes for tenants and managers.

Ideal candidates own basic hand tools, have a valid driver’s license, and can use a smartphone for work orders and communication.

Qualifications

• Experienced maintenance technician, handyman or building maintenance professional.
• Broad general repair knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Comfortable working independently and proposing practical solutions.
• Owns basic hand tools and has a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Able to use a smartphone for work orders, photos and communication.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner and document progress.
• Diagnose routine issues and determine the appropriate repair; identify when a licensed contractor is needed.
• Perform door, lock, fixture, drywall, painting and basic plumbing tasks; replace bulbs and fixtures as needed.
• Identify maintenance concerns onsite and propose solutions; ensure areas are clean and safe.
