Job summary

You will assist with vital signs, medical history updates, EMR chart preparation, and basic procedures such as phlebotomy and EKG, contributing to high-quality patient care and coordination across clinic teams.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree/MA certification preferred; MA program graduate or experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient flow during clinic hours and documents review of systems; records vitals (pulse, respirations, BP, weight/height).
• Prepares patient charts in EMR for visits by scanning, abstracting, and reviewing test results and reports.
• Refills medications and pre-authorizes as needed, communicates with patient/pharmacy/insurance.
• Operates EKG and monitors; assists with phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
• Maintains safe, confidential environment and adheres to legal requirements for medical assistants.
