Job summary

City of Clovis is seeking a skilled journeyman in building maintenance to repair and renovate city facilities. You will perform carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related tasks, with responsibilities including record-keeping and equipment operation.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years’ journeyman experience, with EPA 608 preferred. A valid CA driver’s license is required and after-hours calls may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Completion of the twelfth (12th) grade or equivalent.
• Three years’ experience as a skilled journeyman in building repair and maintenance (carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing).
• Desirable EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform journey-level maintenance and repair of City buildings and facilities.
• Respond to emergency calls after normal duty hours.
• Maintain work records and operate building maintenance equipment.
• Follow safety practices and reference blueprints and sketches.
