Job summary

SWS Equipment, LLC is seeking skilled technicians to service and repair balers, compactors, refuse trucks, vacuum trucks, and street sweepers in shop and at customer sites. You’ll work on hydraulics, electrical, and welding, reading schematics and specifications to diagnose and restore equipment.

We offer paid, formal training, manufacturer courses, and hands-on development under a lead technician, with opportunities to advance to management tracks and a diverse range of equipment challenges.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical repair ability with minimal supervision.
• Comfort reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Welding experience is required.
• Own set of hand tools beyond basics.
• Ability to juggle priorities and maintain efficient workflow.
• Authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, retrofit and maintain equipment (balers, compactors, refuse trucks, vacuum trucks, street sweepers) in shop and on customer sites.
• Focus on equipment systems (hydraulic, electrical, controls, welding) rather than chassis powertrain.
• Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics and specs.
• Diagnose, repair and test systems before returning to customers.
• Prep and commission new equipment for delivery.
• Advise customers on equipment status and next steps.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and service advisors to meet commitments and ensure clean billing/warranty.
