Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans (CCANO) seeks a Floater to support Center Director across classrooms, nutrition, and custodial tasks at Head Start/Early Head Start centers in New Orleans.

The role involves implementing Frog Street Curriculum, observing progress, coordinating with families, and ensuring safe, developmentally appropriate activities. Monday to Friday, day shift, full-time; High School Diploma or CDA preferred with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of early childhood growth and development and ECE best practices.
• Ability to communicate proficiently in English with children, families, staff and partners.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform mathematics calculations.
• Ability to operate MS Word, MS Outlook, and the internet.
• Knowledge of special needs of families and how to communicate and assist them.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom activities and manage the classroom to meet Early Childhood Development Practices.
• Assist in nutrition duties and support family-style meals and menu modifications as needed.
• Perform custodial duties and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Observe and document children's progress and communicate with families and staff.
• Follow health and safety procedures and comply with program policies.
