Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse for the Float Pool on a full-time basis. You will float across various units, delivering high-quality care and collaborating with the team to support patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include accurate assessments, timely medications, and patient education while maintaining thorough documentation. A Florida RN license and BLS are required; ACLS is preferred and must be obtained within six months if not already held.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required or approved multistate license with Florida licensing within 60 days after relocation.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
• 2 years of recent bedside nursing in an acute care hospital setting.
• Current ACLS preferred, required within 6 months of hire.
• BSN is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor therapeutic responses, document care in the medical record.
• Provide timely patient requests and proactively anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures
