Job summary

Tri-County Human Services, Inc. is seeking a journey-level maintenance technician to perform skilled and semi-skilled work across building trades including electrical, plumbing, and HVACR. You will maintain logs, respond to work orders, and handle repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment.

The role requires at least three years in maintenance, a Florida driver’s license, and a trade certification, with on-call availability for evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Florida driver's license required.
• Minimum of three years in general maintenance and construction work.
• Certified in a skilled trade (electrician, plumber, HVAC, or similar).
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain logs and records of completed work.
• Receive work orders and determine needed tools and materials.
• Install and repair electrical wiring, switches, outlets, fixtures, and motors.
• Paint walls and prepare surfaces for painting or repainting.
• Repair roofs and gutters and install/repair plumbing fixtures.
• Repair/replace doors, locks, hinges, and hardware.
• Maintain and repair heating/AC units and change filters.
• Mix and finish concrete, stucco, and plaster for projects.
• Operate hand and power tools safely; inspect and estimate costs.
