Job summary

UG2 is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to handle installation of partitions, patching and painting, and various repairs across our facility. The technician will perform preventive maintenance and inspect generators, air compressors, sprinkler systems, roofs, and plumbing, while handling carpentry tasks and general upkeep.

Qualifications

• Three to five years experience as a general maintenance mechanic in a commercial/industrial facility.
• Ability to perform a variety of carpentry related tasks.
• Capable of performing plumbing repairs and maintaining facility equipment.
• Familiar with surface preparation and painting drywall, wood, and metal surfaces.
• Ability to effectively communicate and respond to customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Install office partitions and furniture.
• Install a variety of flooring materials.
• Repair furniture.
• Patch and paint walls.
• Install door closers, locksets and passage sets.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
• Install bulletin boards and writing boards.
• Emergency Generator Inspection and Test.
• Air Compressor Inspection and Test.
• Sprinkler Piping Systems Inspection and Test.
• Roof Inspections.
• Plumbing Repair and Maintenance.
• General Mechanical Repair and Maintenance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
