Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Facility Technician in Santa Barbara, CA. The role covers maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems, with hands-on rounds across the facility to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

You'll perform repairs on fixtures, lighting, flooring, and water systems, and you'll ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations. An Associate degree in a related field and OSHA 10 are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electrical, HVAC, or related field.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility rounds on equipment and maintain mechanical, HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
• Repair and replace toilet and water closet components, sinks, faucets, soap dispensers, and paper towel dispensers.
• Repair and replace tile and grout, as appropriate.
• Maintain lighting fixtures by replacing lights, ballasts, drivers, etc.
• Replace carpet squares as required by the facility.
• Operate and maintain water supply lines, drains, water lines, control devices, and sprinkler systems.
• Operate and maintain safety related equipment.
• Maintains and repairs the physical condition of mechanical, and facility shop spaces.
• Paints and patches drywall as appropriate.

Role Overview

The Facility Technician will comply with all federal, state, local laws, and regulations as well as the Employer's safety policies and directives. In a safe manner Facility Technicians will perform the following skilled and technical duties and directives in a safe and efficient manner:
