Job summary

The role provides flexible, cross-classroom support to ensure a safe, nurturing learning environment for infants and toddlers, aiding teachers with daily activities and supervision.

The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent, with CDA credential or degree pursuit within two years, and CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Travel up to 10% may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Eligible to enroll in CDA credential program within 30 days or pursue a degree within two years.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with daily lesson plans and activities while maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supervise children to ensure safety in classrooms, playgrounds, and common areas.
• Provide support across multiple classrooms and substitute for staff as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation, distribution, and hygiene routines following Head Start guidelines.
• Support diapering and personal hygiene in line with policies and safety standards.
• Foster social-emotional development and collaborate with families and staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe learning environment and organize learning materials.
• Follow Head Start standards and participate in trainings and meetings.
