Job summary

Community Council of South Central Texas, Inc. is seeking a Head Start Teacher Assistant Floater to support Head Start Teachers and help maintain a safe, stimulating classroom for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years.

Qualifications

• Must possess one of the following: CDA credential or be enrolled in a degree program in child development or ECE.
• Experience with children birth to five in licensed childcare preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in maintaining a calm, safe classroom and playground.
• Provide direct classroom support to maintain ratios and two-teacher coverage.
• Support lesson planning to meet developmental needs of each child.
