Qualifications

• Requires Juris Doctor degree and active law license in at least one jurisdiction (Mississippi preferred).
• Legal drafting and research skills are essential for handling contracts and regulatory matters.
• Experience in employment, corporate, or contract law is preferred.
• Willingness to address diverse subject areas and multitask in a dynamic legal department.

Responsibilities

• Assist Legal Counsel with lifecycle management, retention, and maintenance of client and vendor contracts.
• Assist in vendor review and approval process.
• Analyze federal, state, and local employment laws; monitor regulatory changes.
• Create reports for HR, department heads, and workforce on new regulations.
• Identify compliance gaps and propose policy and training updates.
• Support HR with leave administration and high-risk employee relations matters.
