Job summary

Safariland is seeking a production line assembler to mass-produce products and maintain KPI targets across discrepancies, accidents, repairs, reworks, material yield, ship dates, and cycle counts.

In this role you will work at different workstations, assemble and label stock, assist QC, and ensure logos and serial numbers are correctly applied while adhering to safety procedures and maintaining a clean area.

Qualifications

• Two to 3 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• General knowledge of hand tools and shop operations.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short memos and letters.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math including rate, ratio and percent calculations.
• Ability to follow detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to work well with others and be a team member.

Responsibilities

• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Assemble and label products for stock as needed.
• Assist Quality Control in production.
• Verify sales order to assembled parts and/or finished product.
• Adhere product logos and serial numbers on products properly.
• Steel cutting with band saw or other shop equipment.
• Composite layup and fabric cutting to support ballistic production.
• Observe safety regulations and keep production area clean and organized.
• Participate in kaizen activities to improve productivity and quality.
• Train associates as required.
• Provide support operations (e.g., crane, forklift, inventory, planning).
• Notify supervisor of non-conforming product or unsafe practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
