Job summary

Safariland, LLC is seeking a production assembler to perform diverse tasks across multiple workstations in a fast-paced shop environment. You will assemble and label products, support quality control, verify orders, and ensure logos and serial numbers are applied correctly.

The role requires adherence to safety rules and teamwork in a brisk production setting. The position supports steel cutting, composite layup, fabric cutting for ballistic products, and routine kaizen improvements.

Qualifications

• Two to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent education.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• General knowledge in the use of hand tools and shop operations.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Ability to perform basic math and interpret graphs and ratios.
• Ability to work well with others and be a team member.
• Stand, sit, lift up to 40 pounds; use of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Assemble and label products for stock as needed.
• Assist Quality Control in production.
• Verify sales order to assembled parts and/or finished product.
• Adhere product logos and serial numbers on products properly.
• Steel cutting with band saw or other shop equipment.
• Composite layup and fabric cutting to support ballistic production.
• Observe all safety regulations and keep the production area clean and organized.
• Participate in kaizen activities to improve productivity and quality.
• Train associates as required.
• Provide backup support such as crane, forklift, inventory and planning duties.
