Responsibilities

1. Assess and reduce risk by interpreting regulations and standards, conducting inspections, and developing programs.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders, including field technicians and leadership, to identify and mitigate health and safety risks.
3. Support compliance with Verizon programs, regulations, and best practices.
4. Develop and update safety training, programs, and documentation.
5. Advise management on regulatory compliance, incident reporting, and root cause analysis.
6. Support regional health and safety activities, including liaising with regulators and investigating incidents.
7. Lead safety initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum four years of relevant experience, including in occupational settings.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Open to various US locations for this hybrid role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Safety, EHS, or related field.
• Six Sigma, LEAN, or DMAIC training.
• Certifications like CSP, CIH, or Six Sigma Black/Green Belt.
• Experience with Human and Organizational Performance.
• Strong organizational, strategic, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive change.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role with a defined work location, including work from home and a minimum of eight office days per month.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $86,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on location and experience. Part-time roles are prorated accordingly.
