Job summary

Oak View Group in Topeka, KS is seeking an Operations Coordinator to perform facility set-ups, tear-downs, clean-ups, and light maintenance. The role supports event teams and ensures smooth operations at Stormont Vail Events Center.

This part-time position offers an hourly rate of $13 to $18 and include 401(k) savings with company matching; candidates should be ready for irregular hours, weekends, and holidays, with ability to lift heavy objects and work in hot or dusty environments.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to interact with show managers, vendors, and staff.
• Basic mathematical skills to assist with inventory setups for events.
• Ability to work well as part of a team or individually and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine moderate tasks, setting up facility inventory per instructions received from Operations Manager.
• Supports Operations Staff with event work orders.
• Assists with events and interacts with clients in providing physical facility needs and custodial duties per event requirements.
• Maintaining facility floors, staging, risers, chairs, dasherboards, sport turf, and other event inventory as needed.
• Performs moderate to difficult set-ups in livestock facilities and works around some livestock.
• Performs clean-up tasks after events, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, dressing rooms, showers, and other backstage areas.
• Safely operate forklifts, skid loaders, boom lifts, or other equipment as needed.
