Job summary

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Business and Transaction Paralegal to support lawyers both inside and outside the department. This role will primarily serve the Emerging Growth and Venture Capital practice in Philadelphia, with a hybrid schedule allowing 2–3 days in the office.

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree or equivalent work experience, paralegal certification preferred, and strong skills in MS Office, Adobe Pro, and Lexis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or substantial relevant work experience.
• Paralegal experience or certificate preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro.
• Familiarity with capitalization tables and Lexis.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare due diligence documents and assist with closings.
• Prepare summaries for disclosure documents and coordinate closing documents.
• Research federal, state, and local laws and perform Blue Sky searches and filings.
• Manage multiple priorities and collaborate with offices across the firm.
• Work independently and as part of a team across all offices.
