You will lead VC fund audit engagements from planning through binder close, collaborating with Partners and Directors in a specialized Venture Capital Fund Audit Practice. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, leadership, and client service excellence, with responsibility for billing

Qualifications

• Active CPA license.
• 5–9 years of public accounting audit experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and investment company accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and client relationships.
• Proven ability to mentor Associates and Seniors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage venture capital fund audit engagements from pre-planning through report issuance and binder close.
• Develop audit strategies, risk assessments, engagement plans and timelines.
• Review workpapers, financial statements and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise multiple engagements and teams, reallocating resources as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with Directors and Partners on status and budgets.
• Serve as primary day-to-day client contact throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Explain technical accounting issues to teams and clients, highlighting implications.
• Draft management letter comments and discuss findings with clients.
