Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an associate to join its Emerging Business and Venture Capital Group in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience working with startups and emerging growth companies.

This role involves handling formations, financings, venture capital transactions, and compliance with securities laws, along with advising on employment, equity compensation, and general corporate matters for venture-backed ventures.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of legal experience relating to startups and emerging growth companies.
• Experience in venture capital, financings and securities matters.
• Bar admission in good standing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with company formations and financings, including convertible notes and SAFEs.
• Handle venture capital and private equity transactions.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state securities regulations.
• Participate in joint ventures, spin-offs, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Advise on employment, consulting, and equity compensation matters.
• Address general corporate matters for venture-backed companies.
