Booz Allen Hamilton Ventures is seeking an Associate to manage investment opportunities, support due diligence, and assist fund leadership through the deal process across defense tech, data science, space, quantum, and cyber platforms in the DC area. You will source opportunities, conduct financial modeling and market research, prepare memos, and coordinate with legal and accounting teams.

A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or tech are

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or with a technology company
Experience conducting financial analysis, financial modeling, valuation assessments, and investment diligence activities
Experience evaluating technology companies, startup business models, market opportunities, and competitive landscapes
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and coordinating stakeholders across cross-functional teams
Experience developing written analyses, investment memoranda, presentations, or executive-level briefings
Knowledge of venture capital investing, startup ecosystems, and emerging technology markets
Ability to communicate effectively with founders, investors, executives, and technical stakeholders
Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information to support business and investment decisions
Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

Due diligence: support all aspects of the deal review process including financial modeling and sensitivity analysis, market scans, and interviews
Deal origination and screening: identify and source investment opportunities and triage inbound pipeline
Market research: perform in-depth research to support investment thesis development and write memos
Tool management: manage internal pipeline and portfolio tools and coordinate with legal and accounting teams
Portfolio engagement: support pilots and leverage networks to drive value for portfolio companies
Networking: develop relationships with founders, VCs, and corporate executives
Marketing: extend reach by hosting events and creating content such as podcasts
