Job summary

The Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Architecture invites applications for three Ventulett NEXT Generation Visiting Fellowship positions. This two-year, full-time, non-tenure-track appointment requires residency in Atlanta, starting August 1, 2027, with review after year one.

The program targets candidates early in their careers who will teach and research at the intersection of design, technology, and culture, with emphasis on urbanism, ecology, and computational design.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a terminal degree of a Master of Architecture or greater.
  • A doctoral degree is not required but is preferred.
  • Professional licensure is desired but not required.
  • Candidates should have a demonstrated capacity for the integration of technology and critical thinking into architectural design.
  • At least two years of teaching experience in design studios is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Area One: advance research in urbanism and urban design; lead courses in History of Urban Form and/or Theories of Urban Design; contribute to studio teaching in B.S. in Architecture, M.Arch, and M.S. in Urban Design.
  • Area Two: advance research in ecology and sustainability, especially energy performance and simulation; lead Climate Change + Design; contribute to studio teaching in B.S. in Architecture and M.Arch.
  • Area Three: advance research in representation and computational processes; lead courses in Media + Modeling; contribute to studio teaching in B.S. in Architecture and M.Arch.
  • Areas One, Two, and Three: opportunities to teach a seminar or workshop, resulting in a public exhibition and lecture; collaborate with SoA and across campus.
