Scarlet Oaks in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Vent Unit. You will provide direct ventilator-dependent care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support residents' rehabilitation and comfort.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Ohio.
• Vent unit experience of at least 1 year.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong clinical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a ventilator-dependent unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor and manage ventilator settings, oxygen therapy and other medical equipment.
• Perform routine vital signs and obtain laboratory data as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Document patient care and progress in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
