Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Venous Access Nurse to provide specialized care for vascular access devices, including PICC, central lines and ports. You will assess, insert, maintain, and monitor access devices while prioritizing patient safety and infection prevention.

The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, patient education, and ongoing competency maintenance. A MA RN license and BLS are required; ACLS may be required for some units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• BLS certification; ACLS required for some units.
• 1–3 years of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, insert, access, maintain and monitor vascular access devices.
• Coordinate care and advocate for patients within an interprofessional team.
• Educate patients and families and document outcomes in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement and maintain clinical competencies.
