Qualifications

  • Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification for ED; 1 year RN experience in Emergency or Critical Care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vascular access consultation for inpatient and outpatient populations.
  • Insert and manage peripheral IVs, USGIVs, PICCs, and other vascular access devices.
  • Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and dress vascular access lines; educate staff on best practices.
  • Document procedures and patient care in the EMR; ensure safety and quality care.
