Job summary

Lahey Clinic is seeking a Vascular Access Registered Nurse to deliver specialized vascular access consultation across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role involves assessing patients, selecting appropriate devices, and performing insertion, maintenance, and troubleshooting of vascular access lines.

The RN will collaborate with physicians, APPs, and nursing staff to ensure safe, evidence-based care and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Massachusetts or eligible to practice in MA.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.
• ACLS certification preferred for Emergency Dept/critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide vascular access consultation across inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Assess patients and recommend appropriate vascular access devices.
• Insert and manage PIVs, USGIVs, midlines, PICCs, and IO devices.
• Perform access procedures per evidence-based standards.
• Monitor and dress vascular access devices; manage ports and catheters.
• Educate staff on device selection, maintenance and complication prevention.
• Document care in the electronic medical record.
