Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Part Time Venipuncture Technician to join a fast-paced unit drawing blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians. Shifts include weekends 5:00 AM to 9:45 AM, with variable weekdays and rotating holidays.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of experience, and Phlebotomy Certification from the National Phlebotomy Association.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy Certification from National Phlebotomy Association is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood for laboratory tests in a fast-paced unit.
• Adhere to established procedures and maintain patient comfort.
• Provide calm and compassionate care to patients.

Preferred Criteria:

• At least 1 year of experience

• Phlebotomy Certification from National Phlebotomy Association

• Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED

Salary Range:

$24.77-$26.63/Hourly
