Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center seeks a part-time Veni-Puncture Technician to join its phlebotomy team. You will perform blood draws for laboratory testing, delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift runs 5:00 AM to 9:45 AM on weekends, with various weekdays and rotating holidays. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, plus phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy Certification from National Phlebotomy Association preferred.
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood for laboratory tests in a fast-paced unit according to procedures.
• Enter rooms and provide comfort, calm, and compassion to patients.
• Work weekends and rotating holidays with early morning shifts (5:00 AM start).
