Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomy Tech – Laboratory – Day Flex in Cortlandt Manor, NY. This per diem role supports a fast-paced hospital and outpatient laboratory environment, with shifts 6:00–2:00 or 8:00–4:00.

Responsibilities include drawing blood for tests, ensuring patient comfort, and following established procedures. On-site presence is required, and candidates should reside within commutable distance to NYP.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience and expertise in venipuncture technique preferred.
• Some laboratory training and EKG experience preferred.
• Ability to deal with patients pleasantly to minimize trauma.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians.
• Perform phlebotomy duties in hospital, outpatient laboratory, and skilled nursing facility.
• Enter rooms with care and maintain patient comfort and safety.
• Work per diem schedules (6:00–2:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM).
