Role summary

Committed to care, our Phlebotomy Technicians can enter a room and bring comfort, calm and compassion. Join a team of 26 Phlebotomists in a fast-paced inpatient unit drawing blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians in accordance with established procedures.

This a part-time evening position (2:00PM-10:00PM) 4 shifts per week - every other weekend at Weill-Cornell Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood for laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures on an inpatient unit.

Qualifications

Preferred Criteria

• Phlebotomy Certification from National Phlebotomy Association preferred.
• One year prior venipuncture experience preferred.

Required Criteria

• Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of principles of infection control and normal anatomy required. Customer service skills required.

Work arrangement and on-site requirement

Part-time evening schedule; on-site presence required (variable by role). All employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse travel expenses.

Compensation and benefits

Salary Range: $29.50-$34.65/Hourly
