Job summary

Emerson in Nashville, TN is seeking a vendor management professional to own end-to-end vendor execution across multiple sites and programs. You will ensure contracts and service scopes meet uptime, safety, and quality expectations while coordinating with multiple business partners.

The ideal candidate will bring 3–5+ years in vendor/contract management, strong commercial awareness, and experience with regulated or uptime-sensitive environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in vendor management or related roles.
• Experience managing critical vendors in uptime-sensitive environments.
• Strong contract and commercial awareness.
• Working knowledge of safety, compliance, and risk management.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Own vendor execution activities across sites, services, or programs.
• Support end-to-end vendor lifecycle activities from selection to onboarding to performance tracking.
• Track vendor performance against SLAs, KPIs, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with operations, facilities, engineering, procurement, and finance.
• Lead or support vendor performance reviews with data-backed reporting.
• Support vendor risk assessments and continuity planning for critical providers.
• Ensure vendor documents, contracts, and certifications are current.
• Identify gaps and drive improvements to strengthen reliability.
• Support transitions, scope changes, and performance interventions with stakeholders.
• Maintain systems and reporting related to vendor performance and compliance.
• Reinforce safety and process discipline across vendor interactions.
