Behind every successful purchase, payment, and project is accurate vendor information. Oglethorpe Power is looking for a detail-oriented, service-minded Vendor Maintenance Coordinator to help protect the integrity of our vendor master data and support the teams who rely on it every day.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys research, organization, and solving process puzzles; communicates confidently with a wide range of people; and takes pride in getting the details right. You'll join a collaborative team, receive hands-on training from an experienced team member, and play an important role in helping safeguard vendor information and prevent payment fraud.

What You'll Do
  • Create and maintain accurate vendor records across Maximo and Lawson/Infor, including legal entity information, remit-to addresses, banking details, location codes, payment methods, and tax-related data.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Plant Operations, Capital Projects & Technical Services, Accounts Payable, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, and vendors to gather required documentation and approvals.
  • Conduct thorough research before creating or updating vendor records, helping prevent duplicates and ensuring records meet established verification requirements.
  • Support vendor due diligence through tools and processes such as W-9 collection, TIN verification, OFAC and other screening, credit-risk review, and internal system research.
  • Help protect OPC and its vendors by independently verifying banking and direct-deposit change requests, including confirmation by phone.
  • Maintain secure, complete electronic vendor files in SharePoint, vendor-specific folders, and document-management systems; help transition existing paper records to electronic files.
  • Respond to internal and external questions through the vendor-maintenance mailbox within established service expectations.
  • Work with the Tax team to ensure vendor classifications and W-9 records remain current.
  • Support vendor-data cleanup, process improvements, system testing, and other projects as needed.
  • Cross-train with teammates to provide reliable backup coverage.
What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • At least 4–5 years of experience in vendor maintenance, accounts payable, or a closely related area. Equivalent administrative experience may be considered.
  • A strong research mindset and careful attention to detail-especially when validating documents, data, and banking information.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a customer-service approach to working with internal teams and vendors.
  • The ability to manage several priorities independently while remaining organized and responsive.
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset, along with the curiosity and adaptability to learn evolving processes and systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with vendor master data, supplier onboarding, accounts payable processing, or data-verification tools.
  • Familiarity with Maximo, Lawson/Infor, Supply Chain, or Accounts Payable processes.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable controls, vendor compliance, or fraud-prevention practices.
