The Amazon.ca Beauty team is seeking a self-driven Vendor Manager to support our Vendor Management team and vendor partners. Vendor Managers work directly with vendors to improve value, selection, and convenience across their business. They play a critical role in managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and top-line performance for their category.

The candidate will use customer obsession and analytics to drive their business. The Vendor Manager will engage with multiple internal teams to optimize product line performance for key manufacturers (vendors) on Amazon.ca. They will utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional partners, such as site merchandising, buying, pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance, to enhance vendor performance.

This role offers the opportunity to execute analytical deep dives that inform category growth strategies and initiatives. In addition to gaining vendor management experience, the candidate will be involved in driving category growth. Amazon.ca Vendor Managers work at the innovative forefront of online retail and develop skills in merchandising, marketing, buying, planning, pricing, and analytics.

Vendor Manager roles are part of Amazon's General Management career path, providing a foundation for advancement into senior roles in Marketing, Merchandising, Vendor Management, Product Management, and Inventory Management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage P&L
  2. Negotiate with vendors
  3. Oversee new product launches
  4. Own key functions such as pricing, selection, and profitability
  5. Define growth strategies at vendor and category levels
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience with Excel
  • 5+ years in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiation and results delivery
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
  • Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience managing large datasets to drive performance and process improvements
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, promotion, inventory management, and product development
