Job summary

United Site Services, Idaho-based, seeks a Supplier Engagement Specialist to manage the vendor database and ensure smooth supplier operations. You will represent USS and work with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Accounts Payable to maintain records and enforce policy compliance.

You will handle onboarding/offboarding, data integrity, and reporting while supporting negotiations and supplier relationships. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in procurement and supply chain management, particularly in roles with direct reports.
• In-depth industry knowledge and understanding of sourcing dynamics for fleet, fencing, trailers, and facility items a must.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies for significant cost savings.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on cross-functional alignment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office and procurement software and tools.
• Proactive, well-organized, and results-oriented with the ability to participate in multiple projects simultaneously to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vendor data in the company ERP system.
• Audit the vendor database and update essential information as needed.
• Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of vendor data.
• Facilitate vendor onboarding and ensure documentation is completed.
• Coordinate with Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to understand needs for new vendors.
• Manage vendor offboarding processes.
• Adjust payment terms in the ERP system as directed by Procurement or Finance.
• Ensure compliance with payment terms and internal controls.
• Serve as the operational contact point for supplier queries.
• Provide data to assist in supplier negotiations and relationship management.
• Resolve operational and administrative issues related to suppliers.
• Generate vendor status, compliance, and performance reports.
