Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable – Master Data Specialist for a hybrid role based in Lakeville, MN. This position focuses on validating and maintaining accurate vendor data, collaborating with AP stakeholders, and driving data integrity across systems.

You will engage with external vendors, gather required information, and support high-volume onboarding while meeting timelines and quality standards. This contract-like role offers growth opportunities and exposure to finance operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in accounts payable or master data roles.
• At least 1 year interacting with external vendors or customers.
• ≥6 months supporting project work in a business/finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate vendor information for accuracy and completeness.
• Gather vendor information from AP stakeholders and resolve discrepancies.
• Research and obtain accurate vendor contact information via online research, phone outreach, and coordination with external contacts.
• Initiate communications with vendors to collect information and documentation for vendor setup/maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure vendor data is captured and updated in systems.
• Support onboarding/qualification of high volume vendors, meeting timelines and data quality standards.
• Escalate issues and leverage internal resources to overcome data collection/validation roadblocks.
• Partner with procurement and cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and data quality expectations.
• Contribute to projects within AP and master data, supporting process improvements and system updates.
