Job summary

Leggett & Platt, Inc. in Missouri seeks a Vendor Manufacturing Coordinator to oversee subcontracted processes and manage vendor quotations and orders. You will ensure paperwork for shipping is accurate and push urgent parts through the system.

Responsibilities

  • Sub-contract processes such as heat treat, black oxide, chrome, grinding, machining, etc.
  • Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations.
  • Confirm orders with vendors and process paperwork for shipping.
  • Write up requests for special items or prints for non-stocked items.
  • Monitor back orders and track late parts.
  • Maintain vendor files and correspondence.
  • Push through urgent parts and follow up on purchase packets.
  • Close jobs promptly and understand all related processes.
  • Identify and communicate problems related to product, process and quality.
  • Coordinate parts delivery and pickup.

Reports to: Master Scheduler

  • Push through job packets/purchase requests for urgently needed parts and follow up
  • Close jobs in an expeditious manner
  • Have a clear understanding of all processes involved with the position
  • Identify, record and communicate any problems relating to product, process and the quality system
  • Conform to all Quality and Safety requirements and procedures
  • Participate in the Continuous Improvement Process
  • Perform other duties as requested or deemed appropriate
  • Coordinate parts delivery and pickup
