Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Contracts Manager to join our team on-site in California. The role focuses on defining and documenting contract requirements, drafting agreements, amendments, and terminations, and driving negotiations in alignment with bank policies and legal requirements.

You will work with business partners to manage the contract lifecycle, ensure SLAs, renewals, and cost controls, and provide governance over vendor relationships. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years in business, finance, law, or related field preferred.
• Contract or IT vendor management experience required.
• Proficient with MS Office and Internet.
• Strong PDF editing and Excel skills.
• Expert knowledge of contracts negotiation and execution.

Responsibilities

• Ensures contract terms address primary business risk areas.
• Synthesize perspectives to arrive at actionable contract decisions.
• Maintain status of vendor contracts and manage milestones.
• Provide guidance on SLAs and remedies in contracts.
• Negotiate terms within Bank policies and regulations.
• Compile and analyze vendor contract information for reports.
• Provide interpretations of vendor contracts to stakeholders.
• Prepare analysis reports and spend data to maintain records.
• Travel required: 10-20%.
