Job summary

Aramark in Bell Gardens, CA is seeking a Service Technician - First Class Vending to repair and recondition equipment at customer sites and company locations. You will install equipment, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and take corrective action to keep vending operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, strong electrical repair skills, and the ability to read and write English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Solid understanding in repairing small electrical appliances.
• Willingness to learn how to connect equipment to water sources and drainage when needed.
• Willingness to learn how to work with copper, braided and pex lines; typically learned in 6–12 months of service experience or vocational training.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Incumbent must have an acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license.
• Role may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended standing; may require PPE and uniform use.

Responsibilities

• Calls on customers as assigned to investigate operating difficulties of equipment; diagnose problems and determine corrective actions.
• Repair or adjust equipment to return it to working order.
• Clean and maintain equipment on location including exchanging decanters and cleaning brewers.
• Document closing calls, invoice completion, asset verification and required customer documentation.
• Repair and refurbish equipment; maintain spare parts levels.
• Accurately record work completed in company mobile device.
• Maintain good relationships with customers to project a positive company image.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled service activities including emergency calls, preventive maintenance, surveys, and installations.
• Keep service area and vehicle clean and organized; follow safety guidelines and operate vehicle safely.
• Complete weekly Driver Report and follow Fleet Manual guidelines.
• Follow all safety standards and policies set by manufacturers and the company.
