Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Resident Engineer for Dynacraft's Kenworth Division in Kirkland, WA. This on-site role provides engineering support across product design, quality, manufacturing and customer teams.

You will develop designs with Pro-E/Creo, maintain BOMs and cost estimates, manage multiple projects, and drive continuous improvement while building strong customer relationships. The position requires five years of engineering experience, a four-year Mechanical Engineering degree, and

Qualifications

• Five years of engineering experience in an industry-related role.
• Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Experience with Pro-E/Creo or equivalent solid-modeling systems.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and continuous improvement skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support to customers for Dynacraft products.
• Develop product designs using Pro-E/Creo or equivalent solid-modeling systems.
• Develop and maintain assembly drawings for truck-related components.
• Develop bills of material, labor estimates, and product cost estimates.
• Conduct product qualification testing and prepare test schedules and reports.
• Investigate and resolve product quality and manufacturing issues.
• Coordinate engineering activities across customers, suppliers, Manufacturing, Quality, and other business functions.
• Work with suppliers to identify high-performing and cost-effective product solutions.
• Manage multiple engineering projects and deliverables while meeting established deadlines.
• Lead and support continuous improvement efforts related to product quality, manufacturing, and engineering.
• Develop and maintain effective customer relationships.
• Apply fact-based decision making to complex technical problems.
