Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process all new and used vehicles for registration in the state they will be titled.
• Prepare tax and title documents.
• Submit all legal transfer work to the DMV.
• Verify funds have been collected and lienholders paid off before processing titles.
• Check applications for accuracy and ensure information is complete.
• Maintain a system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Compile and maintain a list of outstanding title work and report status to management.
• Stay abreast of title regulations.
• Cross-train others to handle daily title clerk duties.
• Prepare paperwork and title work for wholesales.
• Prepare checks for Tennessee clerks for title work and out-of-state taxes.
• Ensure follow-up on tags and titles.
• Other duties as assigned.
