Job summary

Impellam Group is seeking an automotive embedded software test engineer to validate vehicle software and features. You will work in an Agile environment planning, executing, analyzing, and documenting both manual and automated tests across vehicle benches and laboratory setups.

The role requires 3–5 years’ experience in embedded software or automotive testing, with hands-on capabilities in Python scripting and test automation, and collaboration across software, hardware, and feature teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, EE, or related technical field.
3–5 years experience in embedded software or automotive testing.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute functional system integration regression and user-acceptance tests based on requirements and Agile user stories.
Perform in-vehicle bench and laboratory validation of embedded software and vehicle features.
Develop and maintain automated tests and scripts using Python or similar languages.
Execute software and system tests, analyze logs/data and investigate failures to determine root cause.
Reproduce, troubleshoot, and validate software and system defects with cross-functional engineering teams.
Document test results and manage defects using JIRA and test-management tools such as Jama and TestRail.
