Job summary

Flexcar seeks a Service Manager to run onsite shop operations in Houston, TX. You will oversee technicians, parts scheduling, and KPI-driven performance to meet vehicle availability targets.

The role includes managing service appointments, tow-in triage, and budget controls while coordinating with site leadership. The position demands flexible hours, outdoor readiness, and ability to carry tools up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of operations management background, preferably in vehicle operations/service.
• Understanding of 6S and Gemba methodology.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to review raw data for trends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations—including technicians and parts scheduling—to meet production and vehicle availability targets.
• Ensure service appointments and tow-in triage are completed within SLA, manage OOS backlog, and track efficiency issues.
• Manage parts procurement process and budget, and oversee vendor relationships.
