Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise the Inspection Center team, directing 5 leads and up to 70 front line associates in a lean manufacturing setting. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure quality, production and cost objectives, and maintain a culture of engagement aligned with Carvana's values.

This role requires 5 years of management experience, knowledge of lean principles, and strong leadership and coaching skills.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching, leadership development and training.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, procedures, and performance targets.
• Create a work environment that promotes positive communication, team cohesion, and adherence to Carvana values.
• Maintain supervisory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Train leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity and assist with production planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team to meet performance metrics.
• Engage the team to focus on quality, production and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
