Job summary

Centerra Group in Los Angeles is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to oversee quality across the three production stages for vehicle repairs, ensuring work aligns with estimates and county standards.

You will review approved estimates, coordinate safety practices, handle PPE and compliance with hazardous materials rules, OSHA standards, and other local regulations; the schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with occasional extended hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience.
• Must have 1 year of work related experience.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• ASE A5 certifications required.
• Damage Analysis and Estimating Certification for Collision Repair is required.
• I-CAR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Review approved estimates/supplements against repaired vehicle.
• Notify management of any additional repairs needed.
• Maintain PPE including respirators as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
• Ensure use of PPE across all locations for the contract.
• Comply with laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and hazardous materials; report deviations to management.
• Cooperate with other personnel in repair and prep of vehicles.
• Follow regulations affecting body shop operations (hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know).
• Operate tools/equipment in a safe manner.
• Work in a busy service center/maintenance garage; extended or weekend hours may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
