Job summary

Rivian is seeking a production planning professional to own the 24‑month Master Production Plan and translate demand into a feasible build plan. The role combines technical planning depth with hands‑on Python and Databricks work and early AI‑modeling adoption to enhance Rivian’s planning capabilities.

You will model scenarios, assess capacity constraints, and collaborate with software teams to productize planning tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics or related field.
• 5+ yrs production / supply‑chain planning
• Hands‑on Python, SQL, & Databricks development
• Early adopter of AI / ML planning models and Agent development
• Demonstrated ability to learn, grow and adapt to ambiguous situations
• Advanced planning system (Kinaxis / APS) acumen
• Partners with software / data teams to build tooling
• RCCP & capacity modeling; automotive preferred

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the 24‑month Master Production Plan using RCCP.
• Model line-rate and shift scenarios; identify bottlenecks.
• Translate program changes into timelines and ramp impacts.
• Provide production inputs to weekly S&OE and allocate with Scheduling.
• Develop planning tooling in Python / Databricks and prototype AI planning.
• Collaborate with software teams to productize effective tooling.
• Define good APS outcomes and push for automated planning.
• Publish the plan across SAP, Internal Planning Systems & Databricks.
