Job summary

FR Conversions is seeking a Production Associate to join the Production Team responsible for assembling the van conversion unit from prep through completion. You will be assigned to an assembly station, trained across multiple stations, and adapt to the production schedule.

The ideal candidate has basic tools experience, physical ability to lift 50–100 pounds, and a commitment to safe work practices under OSHA guidelines, with opportunity for full-time hours on first shift.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, automobile mechanics and electrical systems.
• Ability to individually lift 50-100 pounds.
• Physical ability to work full day lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling in a loud environment with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle for conversion process by removing interior components.
• Cut out/removal of bumper and floor.
• Reroute electrical harnesses and install conversion components.
• Assemble and install vehicle seats, flooring and interior panels.
• Assemble and install electrical harnesses and other components.
• Assemble and install gas tank assemblies.
• Installation and testing of vehicle air conditioning units.
• Utilize work order processing software.
• Participate in departmental meetings and training.

Description

The Production Associate position at FR Conversions is a member of the Production Team whose primary duties center around the assembly of the production unit (Van). Associates in this category are assigned to a specified assembly station to perform tasks from preparing a vehicle for modification through the assembly process to a completed unit. Production Associates are required to train on multiple assembly stations and will be assigned to stations as required by the production schedule. Some Production Associates may specialize in certain stations or tasks, but all are required to be flexible and trained on multiple stations. This position reports to a Line Supervisor and then to the Plant Manager.

Job Category:

Hourly, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform station specific production tasks such as:
• Prepare vehicle for conversion process by removing interior component.
• Cut out/ removal of bumper and floor.
• Reroute electrical harnesses.
• Assemble and install conversion components.
• Installation of vehicle seats, flooring, and interior panels.
• Assemble and install electrical harnesses and other components.
• Assemble and install gas tank assemblies.
• Installation and testing of vehicle air conditioning units.
• Utilization of work order processing software.
• Participate in departmental meetings and training.
• Abide by all OSHA safety requirements including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Salary & Compensation

The Production Associate position is a full-time hourly position with approximate pay dependent upon qualifications and experience.

All salary and compensation packages at FR Conversions are subject to applicable labor laws, FR Conversions standard company policies, and payroll law including taxes and withholdings.

Job Categorization

The Production Associate position is a full-time, hourly, FLSA non-exempt position. (SOC Code - 51-2092).

This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position.

A Safety Sensitive position at FR Conversions is subject to post-offer and random drug/alcohol screenings.

Qualifications

Critical Job Requirements

• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, automobile mechanics and electrical systems.
• Ability to individually lift 50-100 pounds.
• Physical ability to work full day lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling in a non-environmentally controlled work environment in a loud work environment.
• Ability to judge distances and read signs.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
