Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a Vehicle Operator in the Community Response Team Program. The role transports individuals assessed for transport to CSU or hospital, and supports mobility under supervision.

The position requires maintaining vehicle operation training, completing transport logs, and following agency policies. Flexibility in hours and careful judgment to refer situations to supervisors are essential components of the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor vehicles to transport individuals to CSU or hospital as identified by law enforcement or a behavioral health provider.
• Maintain all training necessary to operate a state vehicle and transport individuals.
• Complete and maintain all reports, transportation logs.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and reports turned in to the Health & Safety officer each month.
• Ensures vehicles are up to standards and in compliance.
• Follows established policies and procedures regarding transportation of individuals and follows established policies and procedures regarding calling in for unscheduled absences.
• Uses time management and maintains schedule.
• Uses initiative and judgement to assure that circumstances requiring special attention are referred to the supervisor and/or director.
• Work flexible hours to ensure that individuals arrive to their destination at the appropriate time.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The Vehicle Operator is an active member of the team and provides transportation as needed for individuals who have been assessed and determined to need transport to an Emergency Receiving Facility (ie., Crisis Stabilization Unit or hospital).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate motor vehicles to transport voluntary individuals from a community location to a CSU or hospital as identified by law enforcement or a behavioral health provider.
• Maintain all training necessary to operate a state vehicle and transport individuals.
• Complete and maintain all reports, transportation logs.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and reports turned in to the Health & Safety officer each month.
• Ensures vehicles are up to standards and in compliance.
• Follows established policies and procedures regarding transportation of individuals and follows established policies and procedures regarding calling in for unscheduled absences.
• Uses time management and maintains schedule.
