Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a Vehicle Operator (Community Response) to provide transportation for individuals assessed as needing transport to an Emergency Receiving Facility such as a CSU or hospital. The role supports crisis stabilization and coordinated care.

You will operate state vehicles, complete transport logs, maintain vehicle readiness, follow policies, and work flexible hours to ensure timely arrivals.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor vehicles to transport voluntary individuals from a community location to a CSU or hospital.
• Maintain all training necessary to operate a state vehicle and transport individuals.
• Complete and maintain all reports, transportation logs.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and reports turned in to the Health & Safety officer each month.
• Ensures vehicles are up to standards and in compliance.
• Follows established policies and procedures regarding transportation of individuals and follows establish policies and procedures regarding calling in for unscheduled absences.
• Uses time management and maintains schedule.
• Uses initiative and judgement to assure that circumstances requiring special attention (i.e. individual acting out) are referred to the supervisor and or director.
• Work flexible hours to ensure that individuals arrive to their destination at the appropriate time.
• Other duties as assigned.
