Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a Vehicle Operator to transport individuals to Emergency Receiving Facilities as needed, ensuring safe and timely transfers.

The role requires maintaining vehicle readiness, completing transport logs, and working flexible hours to meet service demands; training and compliance with policies are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor vehicles to transport voluntary individuals from a community location to a CSU or hospital.
• Maintain all training necessary to operate a state vehicle and transport individuals.
• Complete and maintain all reports, transportation logs.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and reports turned in to the Health & Safety officer each month.
• Ensures vehicles are up to standards and in compliance.
• Follows established policies and procedures regarding transportation of individuals and follows establish policies and procedures regarding calling in for unscheduled absences.
• Uses time management and maintains schedule.
• Uses initiative and judgement to assure that circumstances requiring special attention are referred to the supervisor and or director.
• Work flexible hours to ensure that individuals arrive to their destination at the appropriate time.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The Vehicle Operator is an active member of the team and provides transportation as needed for individuals who have been assessed and determined to need transport to an Emergency Receiving Facility (ie., Crisis Stabilization Unit or hospital).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate motor vehicles to transport voluntary individuals from a community location to a CSU or hospital as identified by law enforcement or a behavioral health provider.
• Maintain all training necessary to operate a state vehicle and transport individuals.
• Complete and maintain all reports, transportation logs.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and reports turned in to the Health & Safety officer each month.
• Ensures vehicles are up to standards and in compliance.
• Follows established policies and procedures regarding transportation of individuals and follows establish policies and procedures regarding calling in for unscheduled absences.
• Uses time management and maintains schedule.
• Uses initiative and judgement to assure that circumstances requiring special attention (i.e. individual acting out) are referred to the supervisor and or director.
• Work flexible hours to ensure that individuals arrive to their destination at the appropriate time.
